SEATLE CARRIES BIG STICK
Seattle came to Anaheim and homered their way to a 12 to 5 victory against BARTOLO COLON and the Angels tonight. That's whats good and the bad about baseball. One day after sweeping the New York Yankees, the Halos get their brains beat out by the Seattle Mariners. Good thing it only counts as one loss. Before anyone goes into panic mode, just 12 days ago, the Angels lost to these same Mariners in Seattle 11 to 3. After that they went on to beat Seattle the next two nights. Hopefully history repeats itself.
BARTOLO COLON lost his second game in a row. He gave up a lot of runs but, the defense didn't help much. He still looks like he's throwing hard. Seattle is hot right now. You have to give them credit for the way they played tonight. Like I said before, Seattle is going to be the team in the A L West to challenge the Angels for the division. With Ichiro leading the way, Seattle is going to score a lot of runs. For the Angels sake, hopefully their pitching gives up a lot of runs also.
Congratulations to Angel rookie Nathan Hayes. After 10 years in the minors, he finally made it to the show. Not only that, he got a single his very first time up. Not bad. Batting 1000. Can't do much better then that. Way to go kid !!!
My boy Kendry Morales played a little right field tonight. He showed a good arm and he didn't drop any fly balls that where hit to him.
A home team did win in Anaheim tonight. The Ducks won game one of the Stanley Cup Finals against the Ottawa Senators. They came from behind to win game one 3 to 2. Lets see if the NHL brings the Stanley Cup to Angel Stadium on Tuesday.
Tomorrow Irvin Santana has a home start. That's as close to a lock as you can get.
Go get em Angels !!!
HALO RECORD 31 WINS - 21 LOSES
